The Viper is designed to withstand the the tough environment on-board trains, exposing the switc to constant vibration, extreme temperature, humidity and a demanding electrical enviroment. With IP 67 rating and EN 50155 complience the product meets the requirements of the railcar market as well as other applications with tough environments. The WeOS operating system offers an extensive suite of PI networking features for resilent and flexible networks, e.g. The FRNT ring protocol with very fast failover on 100 Mbps ports. The powerful layer 3 routing capability is very useful for separating networks in complex applications. The backup device accessory matches the VIper in robustness and offers easy configurations update and backup.
