De Unigate Gateway verbindt modules met een seriële interface (RS232, RS485/422 of SSI) met Profibus-DP netwerken. De Unigate doet dan taak als Protocol Convertor en converteert dan het seriële signaal naar de diverse interfaces voor de verschillende veldbussen. De standaard protocollen zoals, Modbus ASCII, Modbus RTU (Master of Slave), RK512, 3964R kunnen eenvoudig ingesteld worden via de PC tool WINGATE. De Unigate CL Profibus-DP is zeer flexibel en krachtig vanwege het gebruik van scripts in de module, en is zo geschikt voor eisen die verder gaan dan de standaard protocollen. Het maken van deze scripts gaat via de kostenloze PC tool Protocol Developer. Dit zorgt ervoor dat er geen firmware wijzigingen doorgevoerd moeten worden.

Applicatie
De Unigate Profibus-DP is ideaal voor modules die geen Profibus-DP interface hebben. In no time en zonder ontwikkelervaring is uw product geschikt voor Profibus-DP verbindingen. De standaard DIN-rail versie is beschermd met type IP24.

Toepassingsgebied
De Unigate Gateways maken gebruik van de complete data capaciteit van Profibus-DP (244 Byte) en ondersteunt snelheden tot 12Mbit/s. Het complete performance bereik van een Profibus slave wordt ondersteunt. Voor de Profibus aansluiting heeft de module een 9-polige D-sub connector. Het aansluiten van de seriële zijde gebeurd via een schroefconnector.

Het Profibus adres kan ingesteld worden door middel van de geïntegreerde schakelaar of via scriptcommando’s. Een groot aantal status LEDs geven de status weer van de Profibus en seriële zijde.
