Product description:

FPNO-21 is a 2-port PROFINET IO interface module. Certified according to Conformance Class B (CC-B).
This product saves customer’s component costs with to two Ethernet ports and embedded switch giving the possibility to use ring topology. The Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP) enables implementing a redundant PROFINET communication through ring topology without the need for external switch.
It supports PROFIsafe over PROFINET. Note: To use PROFIsafe, FSO-12 or FSO-21 with ACS880 is required.

FPNO-21 has PROFINET Shared Device supports. PROFINET “drive control” and “PROFIsafe” can be used by separate PLCs. Shared Device enables accessing one drive from two controllers via one FPNO-21. (i.e.  one PLC to control the drive, other SafetyPLC for safety communication.)
PROFINET station is named via index parameter and easy to configure name via PLC programming environment (i.e. abbdrive-xx), as a part of drive’s backup file and easy to change the drive as no special tools needed to rename the Profinet station.
Drive Compomer Pro software can be used with FPNO-21 to perform a start-up or maintenance for ABB's common architecture drives.
