The EnviroRanger ERS 500 is a cost reduction solution for water distribution and wastewater collection systems.

Using non-contacting ultrasonic technology and patented echo-processing techniques the EnviroRanger ERS 500 accurately monitors and controls liquid levels up to 15m (50 ft) and/or liquid flow in flumes, weirs, or open channels.

Five relays can be utilized to control any combination of gates, alarms, or pumps. Advanced pump control features increase your return on investment by reducing energy consumption costs, reducing maintenance costs, and minimizing on-site manual intervention.

The modular design supports most industry communications protocols ensuring that you have easy access to all necessary application information. With optional data logging and input/output cards, you can tailor the EnviroRanger ERS 500 to your exact application requirements today and tomorrow.

The base unit has eight discrete inputs, five digital outputs, an analog input, a single ultrasonic level point, differential/average capability, and an RS 232 port with Modbus RTU/ASCII protocol.

Wall Mount

Suitable for outdoor or indoor mounting.

Typically used for remote lift stations or where the most number of I/O options are required.


Panel Mount

Suitable for indoor mounting.

Typically used in control rooms alongside other panel-mounted electrical equipment or where space is limited.


Rack Mount

Suitable for indoor mounting.

Typically used in control rooms where rack mounting is preferred.


Options

The EnviroRanger ERS 500 can be expanded to meet the needs of a variety of applications by adding Auxiliary Input/Output cards, RAM and Data Logging, dual point capability, and SmartLinx® communications.

A single Auxiliary I/O card can be installed in the ERS 500. The following Auxiliary I/O cards are available:

4 Analog Input
4 Analog Output
8 Digital Input
8 Digital Input / 2 Analog Input / 2 Analog output (only available on the Wall Mount)
Extended Memory Card

Data Logging is available by increasing RAM. The extended memory card provides RAM for this function.

Dual Point Performance

A second point is optional on the ERS 500 for true dual-point performance. This is made available by ordering a software access code. Please contact your Milltronics supplier for details.

Communications

The ERS 500 is offered with Modbus RTU/ASCII as a standard feature, however other industrial communication protocols are available with the addition of optional SmartLinx cards. Currently,the following protocols are available:

DeviceNet
