Advant Controller 450 with Master software is a high-end, high performance process controller for binary, regulatory, and supervisory control. Its high processing capacity and wide-ranging process and system communication capabilities make it the ideal choice for demanding applications in industrial environments. An increased availability is achieved by using dual redundant processor modules, dual redundant voltage regulators and dual mains supplies. You will be able to maximize your productivity and at the same time be prepared for easy integration of tomorrows technology. Advant Controller 450 meets a users requirement of maximum plant availability.
Optionally Advant Controller 450 features redundant processor modules, each containing CPU, memory and switch over function. While the active processor is running the control application, the backup is hot stand-by and is continuously updated by an automatic check pointing procedure. At any failure, an automatic and bumpless change-over will occur within 5 to 10ms. A manually initiated switch-over can also be accomplished. No special arrangements for the processor redundancy are required in the application programs.

Advant Controller 450 is scaleable in software as well as hardware. You can adapt its size and functionality to your application by scaleable software licenses. The hardware is modular, based on the industry standard FutureBus+ (IEEE 896). The Advant Controller 450 supports ABBs S100 direct I/O and the remote S800 I/O systems. The controller also supports older I/O systems, such as the remote S400 I/O, so that upgrades to the latest controller version can be done still retaining installed I/O.
